Meet Gail: The Bionic Super Woman
Please meet Gail, a patient of Dr. Ronald Hudanich, and our real bionic super woman.
The mother, wife, former communications executive at Lucent Technologies and Tai Chi teacher, who has had almost all of her joints replaced by Dr. Ronald Hudanich.
Gail opted for minimally invasive Joint Replacement Surgeries starting with her left hip. A few months later she had her right hip replaced, knowing what kind of outcome and recovery to expect.
After her hip replacement surgeries, she went on to have both of her knees replaced. Gail has also had a shoulder rotator cuff surgery. A total of five surgeries, all with absolutely fantastic and unheard outcomes, speedy recovery and minimal scaring. Accredited to her extremely uplifting and most positive spirit, but also to her excellent orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Hudanich, and his phenomenal experience and surgery techniques in robotic-arm assisted joint replacements.
Most people do not start suffering from the disabling disease until they are in their mid to late 40s. Gail has suffered from rheumatoid arthritis much of her life.
She waited to have children until her late 30s, when she finally had a beautiful daughter and son, she was not able to enjoy her family life or motherhood, as her body ached nonstop and normal activities were too painful. Her joints were swollen, stiff and made a popping or cracking noise, leaving her unable to perform even the smallest household chores, like vacuuming. She also needed to stop teaching Tai Chi, as her legs and entire body would always be shaking.
Gail suffered a few car accidents, which made her joints deteriorate even faster. She was in constant pain and was referred to Dr. Hudanich by her medical doctor.

Her last Stryker Mako robotic-arm assisted knee replacement surgery was performed in October 2019, and a tourniquet-less knee replacement surgery technique was applied.
She prepared and cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner, all standing up; she has a lot of mobility and strength, and no pain. She is walking, she is happy and would encourage everyone to go and see Dr. Hudanich.

I m a 76 year young lady who was scared to death about having a hip replacement I saw the doctor a year ago held off Think I was to old I went back this year as I could not stand the pain anymore He said I knew you would be back He told me exactly what he was going to do and the outcome I have to tell you , he did exactly what he said he would do I'm a month out with no pain and using a cane on occasion I love this doctor and would highly recommend him for hip or knee surgery He is the best
Dr. Hudanich is one of the most compassionate Doctors I have met. He is extremely knowledgeable, provides a state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment. His new, non-muscle cutting knee replacement surgery is one of the most advanced, minimally invasive knee replacement surgery techniques. Love his team. They are great, very caring and personable. I expected a long wait time, as he is one of the best orthopedic surgeons and specialists in the area, also given the current situation, but it was not that long and the wait was definitely worth it. This is a follow-up to my review of two years ago. I finally had rotator cuff surgery and found Dr Hudanich and his staff to be very knowledgeable, professional and capable. The surgery went well and the physical therapist was pleased with my progress today, 2 weeks post op. I highly recommend Dr. Hudanich and his staff for rotator cuff surgery and follow-up.
He is a wonderful person and a super great surgeon. He is very thorough with his patients so one knows exactly what to expect before, during and after the surgery. He did my left hip and it is absolutely perfect. He has given me back my life and to do what I want. I would highly recommend him for hip surgery.

I went to see Dr. Hudanich after having a previous surgery for a torn meniscus that left me in pain. He assessed the issues I was having and sent me for an MRI. When the results came back, he knew exactly what needed to be done to give me a positive result. He recommended surgery to alleviate my pain. I was up and walking the same day the surgery was completed. My experience with Dr. Hudanich was amazing, and I will continue to see him for any future issues. I recommend 100% seeing Dr. Hudanich for anyone dealing with any type of orthopedic issue.
Dr. Hudanich has done total knee replacements on both of my knees this year. I am impressed with the recovery time and my ability to return to work within 6 weeks of the surgery. I am a retired US Army Command Sergeant Major. I served active duty as a Sapper for 23 years, and 13 years involved in training soldiers at the National Training Center as a civilian. My 23 years active duty was very hard on my knees resulting in multiple surgeries ending with lateral meniscectomies of both knees. The doctor performing my retirement physical told me I was going to pay a hefty price, physically, later in life. He was absolutely right. After 23 years I found my self struggling with any activity using my legs. My knees were locking, popping, swelling and very painful. I thought it would take a miracle to be active again. Dr. Hudanich performed that miracle. In August of 2018 he performed total knee replacement of my right knee and the same with my left knee in August 2019. Dr Hudanich used the MAKO Robotic-Arm Assisted Total Knee application. Through his professional ability, excellent staff, and patient care I have my active life style back. This team is the best.
